Dorothy Berry

Dorothy was born in Louisiana and moved to the Chicago suburbs when she was in 3rd grade. She grew up in a small Episcopal church where she was confirmed. However, the Lord opened Dorothy’s eyes to a clear understanding of Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior in her early 20’s through the witness of a fellow nurse. Dororthy and Dave have been married for 32 years, raised four children, and are now enjoying grandparenthood! They began attending The Orchard in 1992, have been members since 1996.

Dorothy and Dave have served The Orchard through various capacities including serving at both Arlington Heights and Barrington locations in children’s ministry, ushering, reading scripture, and LIFE Groups. They also participated in Leverage (a 20-week course for lay church leaders) and were part of The Orchard Barrington’s church plant. Dorothy was a Member at Large on The Orchard Board for four years. Dorothy and Dave are active members of the Vernon Hills congregation, and Dorothy co-leads a mixed LIFE Group.
