Men in Action (MIA), a chapter of the New Commandment Men’s Ministries, is a group of men volunteers meets the needs of widows, single moms and the elderly by completing tasks they find difficult or are unable to do around the home. We meet the 2nd Saturday each month with a short Bible Study at 8 am in The Orchard Café then depart to our ‘care receivers’ residence for about 2 hours of work, usually finishing about 11 am. In effect, we answer the call of Isaiah 6:8 And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?” Then I said, “Here I am! Send me.”
