Bill Moore

Bill was raised in a Christian home in Rockford, IL and at the age of 9 came to know Christ under the preaching of his grandfather. It was after he was married to his high school sweetheart, Jo, and starting a family of four daughters that he came to the fuller understanding of what it means to follow Christ. 

Following graduation from Rockford College, Bill attended law school and returned to Rockford with Jo and their first-born daughter to practice law.  After 14 years, he entered into full time pastoral ministry with the EFCA.  He has pastored two EFCA churches and finished his full-time pastoral ministry at a non-denominational church in Long Grove, IL. 

Upon leaving full time ministry they found The Orchard Vernon Hills and have made it their home church since August of 2021. Bill has served in co-teaching a workshop on marriage (with Pastor Tom and Jo), a workshop on reading and understanding scripture (with Pastor Tae), and leads a men’s LIFE Group. He also works with the 222 Foundation, a mentoring ministry to seminary students. 

He and Jo have four grown daughters (plus three sons-in-law) and eight grandchildren.
