Trina Young

Trina was born and raised on the West Coast and made her way to the Midwest for college. She moved to Illinois for a career opportunity working as a speech/language pathologist. While attending a local church, she met and married her husband of 18 years, Mike Young. They have two children, Anna and Noah. Trina and her family have attended The Orchard for over fourteen years, ten at Arlington Heights and nearly five at North Shore.

Trina put her faith and trust in Jesus at the age of 28 after she spent several years hearing from a good friend about Christ’s love, sacrifice, and lordship. After submitting her will to Jesus, she found a church to attend and began worshiping. Over the years, God has been so generous as to give her a passion for missions, children, people in need, and the local church.

Currently, Trina serves at The Orchard North Shore as one of the K-2 Sunday school teachers, helping her husband lead a LIFE group, and helping with an annual summer children’s Bible camp in Durres, Albania.
